Now, the following has nothing directly to do with Casablanca video editors, but yet maybe it has everything to do with your Casablanca.
After all, wasn't it a great film or movie we saw growing up or in our later years that inspired us to make our own short films/videos? Wasn't it the magic of cinema we were exposed to that caused us to pursue our own ability to craft our own digital stories?
I had the pleasure a few years back to visit a high-school classroom in San Antonio, Texas with Casablanca reseller Cynthia Stein. The Film program at the high school - the San Antonio Film Institute - led by George Ozuna did awesome work. Using a dozen or so AVIOs, students crafted their own short films and earned a reputation amongst young filmmakers that brought their work to be screened at the Sundance Film Festival, the Berlin, Chicago and other international Film Festivals. Several of the students' works were actually commissioned by HBO Family (and the students received very healthy checks for their work).
All that success - going back to a firm understanding of the art and science of film, which was inspired by their teacher. I recall walking around with George as he would ask the students "Who is your favorite director?" and each student would share the name and the reason.
You see, it was on that relatively simple editor that the students learned and practiced that the story, the content is the most important thing. On to the video...

AFI 100 Years Movie Quotes
I received a message from one of our colleagues this week sharing a video that I thought was fun enough to pass along to you. The video is based on a list from the the AFI - American Film Institute... it features the 'Top 100' quotes from American movies (produced in the first 100 years of the AFI).
The list itself was announced in 2005, while the video was produced about a year ago. So, you might have seen this already -- but as I watched the short (10:44) video on YouTube I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to share it with my friends and colleagues. It brought back so many memories, so many good movies/films I have seen in my life. I was surprised/pleased that I could name all the films that the quotes were from (ok, I was fortunate to have some film history classes in college which likely helped).
You can view the online video here: AFI's 100' Movie Quotes - (Musical Montage)
Now I have to say that I do think the music added did not fit some of the scenes and it way too loud beneath other scenes (there are several other versions on YouTube but with the inclusion of the movie poster/artwork between each film I think it loses the 'flow').
If you would like to read the list of quotes, with the films they're from (and the year the film was released) you can download this PDF document: AFI list of 100 best movie quotes of all-time
If you would like the selection criteria you can read that on the AFI website here: AFI's 100 YEARS...100 MOVIE QUOTES
