Need to Remove Color or Background from a Client Logo --- or Do you Need to 'Pull' a Person Out of a Photograph for use in a Video Project?

I was talking to a colleague just last week who had viewed my Casablanca Eye Candy Volume 1 Tutorial. They suggested that I should highlight for others one particular lesson on this newer tutorial DVD. I do cover the steps used to unleash the power of the Magic Extractor.

This is not some Sci-Fi fantasy but it's a software function included with Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Photoshop. It can be slightly confusing but once you know how to use it -- it is amazing! In the tutorial I show you how I cut out a subject from a photo and ended up using that image in a cool video effect in my Casablanca.

To be clear - this one effect does require the use of a computer (either Windows or Mac running Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements). The other 16 effects on this tutorial DVD are done in your Casablanca editor with either Smart Edit OR the Bogart OS.

Help Plan Casablanca Workshops & Seminars

 I have recently been approached by several colleagues around North America asking if I would consider presenting workshops or seminars near them in the coming months and I am delighted to say a big YES!

This is the initial effort to see which areas/regions of North America have enough interest for either a 1-day Casablanca Seminar or a 2-day hands-on workshop.

  Here's why I will be offering both 1-day seminars and 2-day hands-on workshops over the course of the next year:  Some folks don't want to unplug their editor and drive with it to set it up for a hands-on workshop and would prefer a seminar (where the teacher demonstrates and presents the info).

Others know they learn best (and are more likely to retain the lessons) if they do bring their editing station and follow along with the teacher.  That's why I am considering both types of learning opportunities.

If you are truly interested in attending a workshop or seminar in a place - please take 10 minutes and complete the short survey.  You'll be asked what kind of learning class you prefer (workshop or seminar), where you would be willing to attend, what are your best days to learn.

Members Webinar April 19th - Audio Sweetening with Audacity

 Join Casablanca Expert Chet Davis as he provides an introduction to the freeware program 'Audacity'. This software for your PC (Windows and Mac) has some great capabilities for audio sweetening and audio fixes.  

In addition to an introduction to the Audacity free-ware (free software) Chet will show how to get the audio out and back into your Casablanca (both Smart Edit & Bogart OS platforms).

As part of the webinar session Chet will be available to answer your specific questions and address your needs.

This session will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Pacific Time - all time zones here.
