I answered a question from a website member last week and read a similar question on the Casablanca Forum today -- so I thought I would share this info here as well QUESTION: I am Not Hearing Any Audio from my Casablanca Editor, help please! ANSWER: Here is my guess, I wonder if you are in fact recording audio but possibly monitoring only one audio channel. I have seen this happen before... do me a favor, go to the scene bin and click on one of the scenes you have loaded in from this VHS tape. Click on trim or split, turn the audio scrub on (also called waveform... the little speaker icon). If you scroll do you see any visual evidence of audio (peaks and valleys, not a flat-line)? If yes, then your audio is there but your monitor is not connected or not connected properly Here are my suggestions to remedy the issue: 1. Check to ensure you have an audio cable (Phono/RCA connector) running from the audio outputs of your Casablanca into the audio inputs on your TV monitor (or going into your powered speaker or audio amplifier) -- ideally you would have both pair connected to your monitor/device. 2. If you do have a only single cable running between your editor and your monitor, either pick-up a Y-adapter so you can listen/monitor to both audio output channels on one audio speaker or video monitor input or simply switch the one you have to the other jack on your Casablanca.
