What will technology be like in the year 2021? While no one has a crystal ball (that we know of) the folks at Microsoft today shared a video that paints a cool picture of how technology might be used in the future for increased productivity.
It's an interesting 6-minute journey into our possible future and it's very intriguing. I have my favorites - from the true flat panel type computer used by the woman in her hotel room, to the home calendar/screen used by the dad near the end of the video. I also loved how the young girl at the end copied the recipe contents onto the kitchen counter for (what I assume) was assistance in creating a recipe. Here's the video from Microsoft.
David Jones, Microsoft’s director of envisioning, whose group developed the video shared “You can stop any frame in the video and talk for an hour about everything that’s going on. There’s a lot of thinking layered in. We’re trying not to be superficial at all — there’s a lot of deep thinking.”
And that's just what we all can do, more easily, with an on-line article by GeekWire. Scroll to the bottom of their article and view 14 screen shots taken from the video with a brief explanation of the technology being represented.
Very cool... let's meet back here in 10 years to see how accurate this visioning is/was.
